A little about us

Teuila KIDS Early Learning Centre is located at 35-37 Point England Road, Point England Auckland.

The centre is situated at the Tamaki Pacific Islander's Presbyterian Church in Glen Innes. We are licensed for 34 children (10 under-two years old).

Our dedicated team of teaching and support staff share in our philosophy of providing a high quality, culturally responsive early learning experience.

Teuila KIDS started in 1999 as The Aoga Ale Teuila Samoan Bilingual Preschool founded by the late Rev. Elder Leiite Setefano, QSM, JP, L.Th, and Mrs Lealofisa Setefano QSM, as part of their 36 year church ministry. After many years of service to the early childhood education sector, Rev. & Mrs Setefano retired and the service was reinvented as a mainstream service under the Community KIDS vision and philosophy.

The Teuila KIDS team are committed to ensuring that our tamaiti are able to keep growing in KNOWLEDGE, secure in their IDENTITY, undertaking a journey of DISCOVERY and experiencing SUCCESS everyday.

The Community KIDS Vision

We really believe in giving our Community KIDS a high quality, culturally responsive early learning experience.

Our vision is for kids from all communities to participate in early childhood education and to be ready for a successful life-long learning journey.

New Zealand is a naturally beautiful and wonderfully diverse place to live. Parents bringing up their children within our communities have the same aspirations of raising happy, healthy and positive Community KIDS.

We share these aspirations with parents, and provide a rich and diverse education and care programme based on Te Whāriki, the New Zealand curriculum.

Our hope is to make early learning accessible to everyone and we offer 20 ECE hours and assistance with WINZ subsidies with focused support for Community KIDS with special educational needs and other priority groups.

We also offer FREE SCHOOL TRANSPORT and our "WHĀNAU FIRST FEES POLICY" ensures that our service is accessible and affordable for everyone.
