Avonhead Playcentre
Avonhead Playcentre is a thriving Early Childhood Centre in the busy University area of Christchurch. Our sessions are open for all children, from birth until school aged. As a cooperative, all parents take on the running of the centre, big or small, to help make our centre continue to be a fun and positive place for all to be.
We run General Sessions Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from our centre at 166 Waimairi Road, where children experience the freedom to choose what they want to learn alongside the support from a high ratio of adults on session.
Children stay with their parents when they first start at Avonhead Playcentre, and once they are 2 1/2 and confident, parents are able to leave their child/ren for some or all of the session.
