Welcome to Springs Community Early Learning Centre. Our community based not for profit preschool is based in Sockburn, Christchurch . Our team is passionate about providing an environment where your child is nurtured supported and encouraged to learn.
We are a registered charitable trust and a not- for-profit Early Learning Centre. The centre is managed by a community based Governance Board made up of parents and other community minded members in Christchurch. We aim to keep fees as accessible and affordable as possible and actively support families to be engaged in early childhood education. We maintain our commitment to fully qualified early childhood teachers that maintain a high-quality learning environment with a high standard of care and education.

The philosophy at Springs is grounded in creating a connected, positive, supportive environment. We apply Te Whaariki – The Early Childhood Education Curriculum and are influenced by current research and theory to ensure excellent teaching and the best outcomes for children. We are committed to responding to the diversity of our community and therefore ensure responsive cultural values are a feature of our practice. At Springs Community Early Learning Centre children are placed in the heart of the learning environment as this is their Turangawaewae (meaning “a sense of identity and independence associated with having a particular home base”).
