Pipis Childcare and Preschool
Pipis is a clean, spacious, purpose built childcare centre with plenty of room for outdoor adventures. A place where children are encouraged to care for, respect and nurture our gardens, animals and each other.
We are locally owned with a fully qualified, warm, professional teaching team who enjoy the rewards of working with families to support children to be happy, healthy, independent young learners.
Pipis is a mixed age centre providing for children from 12 months to 5 years. We celebrate and encourage relationships where younger children learn from older siblings and peers, and older children develop leadership skills.
Pipis prepares children for school in the heart of our special Tutukaka Coast community. Attendance at our centre will allow you and your child to develop relationships with other children and their parents that you will take with you to school and beyond.
We limit our role to include seven children under the age of two. These younger children are nurtured and cared for in their own indoor area. Their individual routines and development needs are well supported with plenty of opportunities for integration into the wider Pipis environment.
We offer the choice of attending for a school or full day.
Children over the age of 3 can attend from as little as $12.00 per day.

Tutukaka Coast Playcentre
Nau mai, haere mai and welcome to Tutukaka Coast Playcentre
Playcentre is unlike any other early childhood education organisation. At Playcentre, both children and their parents / caregivers attend.
At Playcentre children get the opportunity to learn and explore in a fun and safe environment.
The curiosity and creativity of our tamariki is nurtured in a way that allows them to learn about themselves and their world.
Your child will be given a chance to explore, create, climb, read, sing, experiment, play music, wear costumes, have their face painted (or do it themselves!), garden, do carpentry with real tools, bake and cook, build sandcastles, swing, slide, dance, spend time in nature and get messy.
The activities change every day. Playcentre parents all bring different skills, interests, and cultural backgrounds to add to the rich learning environment.
We welcome families with children aged 0 – 6 years. Mixed age play allows your children to engage with others older and younger than themselves. Pre-schoolers learn how to communicate, share and negotiate with empathy for their younger peers.
At Playcentre, families come together and lifelong friendships are formed.
We welcome you to visit any time during the year. You are entitled to three free visits so come and check out what we do – we would love to meet you and your family!
