Kapiti Children's Centre
Kia ora, Kapiti Children’s Centre (KCC) is a mixed age early childcare centre located in the heart of Raumati Beach Village - Right between Raumati Beach School and the Shops.
We are a small local family business. We welcome children from 6 months to 6 years, and offer 20 hours ECE for 3 to 6 year olds.
We provide morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. Our vegeterian menu is delicious, nutritious and caters for any special dietary needs.
We practice respectful and peaceful care-giving, with a focus on following tamariki lead, and matchingeach child’s individual rhythms and routines as their day unfolds.
We aim to use natural and/or recycled resources that are open-ended so that tamariki can lead thier own learning with qualified and experienced kaiako alongside to support them.
We have a homelike environment which allows the children plenty of space and opportunity to create, explore, play and relax! We have three large indoor rooms which are surrounded by a covered deck and an extensive outdoor area with grass and large trees.
We utilise our local community as much as possible, with regular walks to parks, the beach, the library or wherever our legs can carry us. Every Monday our eight eldest tamariki venture out and Ranagtira Kaitiaki, with sustainability in mind to look after the out local facitlites. This is a role that they take very seriously.
We have an amazing team of talented, passionate staff who make all this possible.
