We integrate healthy eating through the Healthy Heart programme partnered with regular physical exercise. Our outdoor area with its focus on the natural environment promotes fun, exploration, discovery and a wide variety of physical play opportunities. Exploring in all weathers, ensuring protection from the elements with Kaiako Educators who care.
We promote self-care skills for tamariki children to support healthy living in their future, like the Mighty Mouth tooth brushing programme, taking care of others and self. We promote learning through play in a safe and stimulating environment, which fosters communication and socialisation skills, creative thinking, problem-solving and coping with change and challenges. The inside environment is warm, vibrant and reflects the cultural diversity of our kindergarten whanau. We work consistently on maintaining our relationships within our community including building relationships with local Iwi, community groups, Manurewa Marae, Roscommon School, Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association Playtruck, and Te Matariki Clendon Library.
