Our rooms

Rimu offers spacious, outdoor and indoor environments tailored for infants to preschoolers. With areas for physical play, nature exploration, and hands-on activities like carpentry and messy play, children develop confidence and curiosity. Each room supports specific developmental stages, creating a nurturing, stimulating setting for all.

Manuka Room (0-2 years)

A calm and spacious area for infants, Manuka features decking, turf, a large sandpit, and a dedicated bike path. Purpose-built for this age group, it includes soft surfaces, climbing boxes, and outdoor equipment designed to support motor development and sensory exploration in a safe, loving environment.

Kowhai Room (2-3 years)

This interactive toddler space encourages messy, hands-on play with areas for obstacle courses, climbing, and a basketball hoop. The addition of a whare offers a cultural learning space, while activities promote physical coordination, problem-solving, and early social skills.

Pohutukawa Room (3-5 years)

A vibrant, large space full of opportunities for preschoolers to explore and grow. With climbing boxes, a tree house, monkey bars, a bike track, a sandpit, and carpentry stations, Pohutukawa is designed to develop independence, creativity, and school readiness through purposeful play.
