Conveniently located near the Glenfield Mall, Active Explorers Camrose is a welcoming and homely early childhood centre that’s passionate about connecting children to nature.

Our fantastic outdoor spaces have trees to climb, monkey bars and climbing frames to play on, and vegetable gardens to plant and tend to. With three separate rooms catering for each age and stage, and a team of caring and experienced registered teachers, Active Explorers Camrose offers everything your child needs to have fun, learn, and thrive.

Our philosophy

At Active Explorers Camrose we are committed to having an environment where relationships reflect values such as respectfulness, nurturing, inclusiveness and collaboration. Where the belief that uninterrupted play is the child's work, within an environment that provides opportunities for children to pursue their individual interests. We also aspire to provide/create a curriculum that fosters ‘Inspired Thinking’ and speaks to our past, present and future and supports our children as ‘global citizens’ that are adaptive, creative and resilient.

Our rooms

Active Explorers Camrose has three separate rooms each with its own awesome outdoor playground. This enables us to deliver age appropriate experiences for children at each different age and stage.

Infants Room

This room is our home away from home for our under 2s and is a safe, warm and nurturing space with a beautiful spacious playground dedicated to our babies. We have a strong focus on primary care and follow the natural rhythm of each child. 

Toddlers Room

Specially designed for our 2 to 3 year olds, our homely Toddlers Room is where our children start learning about respect and doing things independently. An amazing playground, complete with a huge trunk and climbing frame, provides endless opportunities for children to build their physical skills.

Preschool Room

Our 3 to 5 year olds start preparing for school in this room. There’s a big focus on building resilience and getting children closer to nature. There are trees to climb, herb gardens to care for and plenty of opportunities to get outdoors and have fun.
