Marlborough Montessori Preschool – Glenfield, North Shore Auckland
Marlborough Montessori Preschool offers a genuine, philosophy-led Montessori programme in the heart of Glenfield, North Shore Auckland. Located at 17 Chartwell Avenue, our centre provides a carefully prepared environment where tamariki aged 0–6 are supported to develop independence, confidence, and a deep love of learning.
Our curriculum is structured across five key areas — Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Cosmic Education — all underpinned by the proven Montessori method developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, learning is child-led and hands-on, with each tamaiti moving at their own pace through purposeful, meaningful activities.
Our mixed-age classrooms allow younger children to learn through observation and older children to strengthen their skills through peer mentoring — reflecting real-world social environments and building empathy, leadership, and community.
Our team of qualified teachers hold recognised ECE qualifications, with several holding a Bachelor of Education (Montessori) from AUT and bringing over a decade of experience each. We are committed to building strong partnerships with whānau and ensuring every child feels a secure sense of belonging.
We offer both half-day and full-day session options, with outdoor play in our private sandpit and covered outdoor area, regular excursions to Marlborough Park, and optional P.E. programmes such as Playball.
