A little about us

Located in the heart of Albany, Auckland, we offer affordable, high-quality education for infants, toddlers, and young children. (0-6 years) We’re passionate about creating a nurturing, inclusive space where every child feels valued, supported, and ready to explore the world around them.

About Lollipops Albany

At Lollipops Albany, we create a warm, welcoming space where children can grow, learn, and thrive. We focus on each child’s individual strengths, supporting their development with a fun and engaging curriculum that builds confidence and curiosity.

Our purpose-built centre features age-appropriate learning spaces designed to let children explore and develop at their own pace. We celebrate diversity and work closely with families to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and at home.

From infants to preschoolers, our tamariki enjoy a wide range of activities tailored to their age and stage. Each room is thoughtfully set up, with caring and experienced educators providing meaningful learning experiences every day.

We’re also proud of our Healthy Heart–awarded menu, which reflects our commitment to nutritious meals. We use olive oil, free-range eggs and chicken, and a variety of proteins like tuna, chicken, and beef - all paired with fresh vegetables. Our four-week rotating menu keeps mealtimes exciting while meeting Healthy Heart NZ guidelines.

Our Rooms

Our purpose-built centre features bright, inviting indoor and outdoor spaces that cater to the developmental needs of every child. Each room is designed to spark curiosity and learning, with plenty of opportunities for active play and creative exploration.

Kiwis (0-2 years)

The Kiwi Room is a cosy, secure space designed especially for our youngest tamariki. It’s a warm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, secure, and loved. Our patient, caring teachers closely follow each baby’s cues, routines, and parents’ preferences to build trust and strong relationships.

This room features a large, open space with a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, allowing for plenty of fresh air and exploration in a safe, stimulating outdoor area. There’s also a separate kai area and a peaceful sleep room where little ones can rest and recharge in comfort.

We prioritise routines and responsive care, supporting each infant’s emotional and physical development in a calm, loving environment.

Pukeko Room (2-3.5 years)

The Pūkeko Room is a vibrant, engaging space where toddlers develop social skills, independence, and confidence. Our curriculum focuses on sensory exploration, social competence, and individual development plans (IDPs), including support for toilet training.

Children enjoy their own spacious dining area, along with generous indoor and outdoor spaces designed to inspire active play and learning. A dedicated sleep room and kai area offer comfort and consistency throughout the day.

We’ve created a special library and reading corner where tamariki can borrow books to take home. Parents are also encouraged to join their children in reading and storytelling, fostering a love of books and shared learning moments.

Tui Room (3.5 - 5 years)

The Tūī Room is all about school readiness, with a strong focus on developing confidence, independence, and essential early literacy and numeracy skills. However, we tailor learning experiences to each child’s individual developmental stage, ensuring they grow at their own pace.

Our thoughtfully arranged space features pockets of play and intentional learning zones that cater to a wide range of interests and needs. We also have a separate art and science studio where creativity and discovery are encouraged daily.

Our enrichment programmes include:
 • Mini Scientists Program
 • Cooking Club
 • Chinese Language Club
 • Music and Movement Club

Regular excursions expand learning beyond the centre, and we work closely with families to align with their goals and expectations, making the transition to school smooth and positive.
