We use positive and quality interactions
Through positive and quality interactions, we encourage children to take responsibility for their learning, enabling them to become capable and confident within themselves.
We develop meaningful relationships
We build strong relationships with parents/whanau based around trust and respect. Collaboration is an important aspect of our centre culture. We encourage ongoing communication between parents/whanau to ensure we are working together to promote children’s learning and development.
We provide a challenging environment
Children are encouraged to be creative and challenged, which inspires them to learn strategies for active exploration. Our play-based approach to learning ensures flexibility within our teaching practices. The physical environment supports our children’s natural development. It is safe for exploration, reflects the needs and interests of our children and is utilised as a third teacher.
We celebrate our unique cultures
We create a welcoming environment where children and their families can develop a sense of belonging, and our centre reflects an extension of the home. By acknowledging both the dual heritage of New Zealand and the multicultural society that we live in, our diverse educators are able to work together to provide an inclusive learning environment. We ensure that children are recognised as individuals and we value the unique culture they bring to our centre.
