A little about us

🌼 Little Darlings Childcare – Where Play and Learning Bloom Together! 🌼

For 37 years, Little Darlings Childcare has been a special part of our community. Founded by my mum, I was proud to take over three years ago to continue her wonderful mahi and the loving legacy she created.

We’re a licensed centre for 30 children, from birth to six years, with spaces for 10 under-twos and 20 over-twos.

At Little Darlings, we believe childhood should be full of joy, discovery, and connection. Our large, spacious outdoor environment gives tamariki room to explore and grow — with plenty of grass to run on, a boat and a giant log for imaginative play, and space to ride bikes, kick balls, and enjoy a day full of fun and learning.

We’re more than just a childcare centre — we’re a whānau, where every child is valued, nurtured, and encouraged to shine. šŸ’›

Come and see why so many families love being part of our Little Darlings whānau!

Our Philosophy:

Little Darlings Childcare - Ngā Taonga Iti is a caring, nurturing place where tamariki are affirmed as treasures of their whānau and bring with them a wealth of knowledge, both lived and passed down from their tūpuna.

Kaiako have the responsibility to whakamana tamariki to be confident, to be affirmed as individuals, to make their own choices and choose their own learning paths through play. They are also empowered to be kind and supported to be articulate when expressing themselves.

Te Whāriki, Te Ara Whānui and Te Tiriti o Waitangi  guide our practice as we work alongside whānau and tamariki.

We value and acknowledge te Ao Māori, diversity and whānau tūmanakatanga/aspirations.
