We’re a modern, inner-city centre providing the education, care and home-like environment our tamariki need to thrive. The team are passionate about outdoor education and a commitment to “Playing in Nature” is at the heart of our approach.
Our preschool tamariki take a bus to Taitua Arboretum every week where they spend the day playing amongst the tranquil natural surrounds.
Our children are active gardeners and we encourage them to nurture our vegatables, apple and feijoa trees, strawberries and herb garden.
We value a play-based programme of learning, genuine respect and understanding and encourage trusting, respectful partnerships with our parents and whānau. Whānau participation, involvement in community events and supporting charities are all central to our philosophy. Our passionate kaiako all have a lifelong love of learning and continue to learn and grow alongside our whānau and tamariki.
