At Ashurst Park Playcentre we believe in supporting parents/caregivers as first teachers and that children learn best in a fun and stimulating environment. Being involved in our centre gives parents/caregivers the chance to be involved in their child’s early childhood education and also learn & grow alongside their tamariki. We strongly value and support learning through play.
We provide a range of learning opportunities & experiences for our tamariki to enrich their learning. Our centre has a range of beautiful resources to meet the needs and interests of tamariki aged 0-6.
We offer 16 areas of play including a sun shaded sandpit, messy play, musical instruments, books, crafts, carpentry and family play plus many more. We love to spark our tamariki’s curiousity and creativity & follow their interests.
Like all Playcentres we follow Te Whaariki, the Early childhood curriculum. We work hard to cater to the needs of all our members and pride ourselves in providing baking & cooking opportunities for children & adults with food intolerances, allergies & other dietary needs. Three free visits are open to everyone and we love to welcome new families to Ashurst Park Playcentre.
Come and visit us during any of our mixed aged sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Bring a healthy morning tea and a change of clothes for your children. We look forward to seeing you.
