First Steps Kids Academy

First steps kids academy tucked away in Frankton, is a beautiful home away from home for your child – a warm and lovely environment for the children to explore comfortably. Following each child’s creativity, curiosity and interest, we believe in empowering children by offering endless possibilities and opportunities for decision making and problem solving in our childcare settings.

Our philosophy and practices are informed by philosophers and pedagogy of Reggio Emilia, Rudolf Steiner, Maria Montessori and the International Baccalaureate that, as well as Te Whariki – the New Zealand curriculum framework for Under 5 years, as well as our own experience, observations and interactions. We pride ourselves on understanding the rights and needs of our community and providing high quality education and care to children and their families.
