A little about us

At Tots Love Country, we believe that a holistic nurturing country environment creates positive outcomes for tamariki. We believe that whanau, community and embracing kaitiakitanga, caring for and utilising our natural environment, play an integral part of children’s learning. We incorporate this into our programme daily. Alongside this, our curriculum offers opportunities for children to learn in a play based environment, developing their potential to ask questions and explore the world around them whilst developing resilience. We are a mixed age centre and we all work together in unity as whanau. Many tuakana teina relationships develop; this is where our tamariki learn from one another, which further fosters our whanau environment.

Our centre aims to teach children in our care in a holistic way through embracing our curriculum, Te Whariki, within a loving, healthy and safe environment. We encourage positive relationships and provide stimulating activities to create and foster fun learning experiences that will encourage them to develop to their full potential.

We recognise individual teacher’s attributes which contribute to our unique atmosphere. We aim to develop a sense of whanaungatanga, close reciprocal relationships with parents and whanau and strongly encourage all our whanau to be involved in our program and centre life.

Our purpose is to provide the surrounding community with a professional education service that offers a unique environment and experience for children to explore and become competent, confident learners.
