Kohukohu Playcentre

Kohukohu Playcentre welcomes any and all newcomers to join the fun! We are in the heart of the village, right across from the harbour. With the support of parents, children:

• build physical confidence
• nurture creativity
• foster social connections
• interact with the natural world
• learn literacy and maths concepts.

At Kohukohu Playcentre we are very keen to enhance our practice of te reo and Maoritanga on session and we’d love to have you teach or learn with us! Adults also have the opportunity to learn about child development and can train towards early childhood teaching for free.

Right beside the local primary school, we are in a great position to help transition your young ones to their next step. Sessions are four hours long but you and your tamariki can drop in for whatever time suits you. It’s free to attend.
