Taumarunui Early Learning Centre
Central Kids Taumarunui has a vibrant community of teachers, support staff, children and whānau. Our building was originally a beautiful home which has over the years had many facelifts, yet still retains much of the character of its bygone history. We are located near our town centre making us easily accessible for all areas of the Taumarunui wider community as well as those who live in town.
We cater for children aged 6 months to 6 years. We are a very homely and welcoming centre with staff that work hard to ensure your child has a ͚home away from home͛ experience of high-quality care and education while they are with us.
We have a very large outdoor play area that allows children lots of space for a wide range of activities. We have a range of gardens and plants that the children help to care for and then use the produce for cooking and eating experiences, helping the children to learn about caring for our natural environment. We are continuously looking at ways to increase our sustainable practices, we have re-useable wet clothing bags for children to use, collect food scraps to feed some local pigs, make our own compost and have recently become part of the “Paper for Trees͛ recycling programme.
