New Shoots Sunnynook offers a welcoming, natural environment where children can engage in a world of learning possibilities. Our purpose-built centre has the green expanses of Sunnynook Park at our back door.
Our communal outdoor space offer plenty of opportunity for siblings, cousins and children of different ages to come together, building and maintaining connections and sharing learning opportunities.
Our hand-made carpentry table provides the perfect space for children to develop their technical skills and explore their creativity. Climbing our mature cherry tree is a challenge children love to master and they enjoy watching it change throughout the seasons and learn about our living world.
Our sensory garden provides our youngest tamariki with a variety of plants to smell and feel and older children enjoy growing fruit and vegetables with our kaiako.
We pride ourselves on creating a home-like environment, an inviting space with comfy rugs and couches where our tamariki and whānau can spend time with us. We believe in strong, respectful relationships and plenty of opportunity and room for tamariki to grow, learn and play.
We also run a bush kindy for our 4-5-year-old children called the Adventurer’s Club where our children spend the day at Long Bay and other local reserves.
We’d love to welcome you and your family at New Shoots Sunnynook – pop in for a visit.
