A little about us

Welcome to Footsteps Adventist Preschool

It's our mission to connect children to Jesus!

Footsteps Adventist Preschool is situated at 27 Snelson Street Palmerston North, close by to our community Seventh-day Adventist Church, and right next door to the Palmerston North Adventist Christian School.

The close relationship that we have with the school allows us to use their library, attend assemblies, and have visits from their pupils. Their Principal is a frequent vistior to Footsteps Adventist Preschool, sharing mat times with our children.

We are licenced for 46 children between 2 to 5 years old, and have a ratio of one teacher for every eight children. Our well qualified Christian teachers provide interesting challenges for the children and encourage them to try new activities.

Palmerston North is also home to the Longburn Adventist College.Philosophy

Footsteps Adventist Preschool will reflect the special character of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It has been established by the community of the Palmerston North Seventh-day Adventist Church to serve the spiritual and educational needs of children. The Preschool is a member of the system of educational institutions operated by the Conferences of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in New Zealand.

Our Preschool is unique because God's love is our motivation. We want your child to experience the unconditional love of Jesus and believe that they are valuable. In our Preschool we respond to the preciousness of others, because all are precious to God. We value the influence of the family and consider it a privilege to share your child.

We believe the Bible demonstrates the best way to live. Because of this, it forms the heart of our curriculum. Your child will explore Bible stories and Christian songs and experience prayer and Christian values as part of the daily programme. They will be encouraged to show love and concern to others.

Jesus said "Let the children come to me" Mark 10:14, and this is where the journey begins.
