Crossroads Early Childhood Centre (CECC) is a whanau/family focused, Christian Centre providing Playgroup and all-day education and care. We believe it takes a village to raise a child and at CECC your child and you will be immersed in a warm and friendly village of encouragement and support.
We promote and teach the fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) and aspire that when children leave us, they know what the fruits are and how to enact them in their daily lives.
Bright Ideas all-day education and care programme, for children aged 1 year to 5 years is designed to grow children’s social expertise and ignite their passion for learning. Small groups and age focused planning ensure children acquire the skills for continuity from early childhood through to school.
Our emphasis on the fruits of the spirit guide children to become kind, caring and community-minded. Bright Ideas children leave CECC competent and confident learners, communicators, and contributors to society.
Our Philosophy
- Relationships are the foundation on which Crossroads Early Childhood Centre is embedded.
- We provide a welcoming haven, where all families/whānau, children and teachers feel respected, safe, supported, and valued.
- A place for you, where individuals and relationships can grow and flourish.
- Crossroads Early Childhood Centre has a nurturing Christian character where children, families/whānau and teachers are free to share about their relationship with Jesus.
- We believe that all children are unique and precious to God.
- We are dedicated to learning about each child, acknowledging their abilities, strengths, interest’s, cultural identity, and affirming who they are and where they come from.
- We support children to develop the fruits of the spirit in learning and in life.
- We deliver high quality education in partnership with parents and whānau, creating stimulating, thoughtful, meaningful learning environments where children and whānau can actively engage.
- We acknowledge Māori as tangata whenua (the indigenous people) and commit to building relationships that are in the spirit of partnership, participation and protection.
