A little about us

Milson Playcentre opened in 1956 and is a child-focused, whanau run early childhood centre that offers quality early childhood education to mokopuna (children) aged 0-6 years following the Playcentre philosophy. All of our sessions are mixed age and on any session we are licensed to have up to 15 children under 2 years of age and a total of up to 21 children under 6 years old. We are located in the suburb of Milson, Palmerston North and our whanau come from Palmerston North and many of the surrounding towns in the Manawatu to attend.

Our program is based on Te Whariki the Early Childhood Curriculum in New Zealand. Our whanau are supported by our Team Leader to offer many opportunities for learning and development both indoors and outdoors. Some of the favourite activities of our mokopuna include painting, sand, messy play, puzzles and process cooking.
