Welcome to Ruahine Follett Street Kindergarten, a rural kindergarten with space and resources for children to play, explore, develop and learn.
Our Kindergarten fosters children's natural curiosity, creativity and interests. Relationships with our community are strong and we host regular family gatherings and celebrations.
Ruahine Follett Street Kindergarten is part of the Enviroschool programme and we are developing a community garden with help from parents, local business and college students. Our environment is spacious and well resourced, including natural wilderness areas, so there is plenty to explore and learn from.
We value the culture, beliefs, skills and knowledge our families/whānau bring and build on your aspirations for your children's learning.
We are open Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 2.30pm, and closed over the Christmas and New Year break, as well as three weeks during the year when teachers are engaged in professional development (dates to be advised on enrolment).
Three, four and five year old's may attend our kindergarten up to 30 hours at no charge, a fee of $2.50 (inclusive of GST) is in place for tamariki under 3 years of age - ask our Head Teacher for a copy of our Terms of Trade.
