Established in 1982, Kidsfirst Kindergartens Karoro is a hidden gem located at the end of a tranquil cul de sac. Nestled beneath majestic native bush, the kindergarten offers a picturesque view of the Tasman Sea, with the melodies of native birds and the crashing waves creating a serene atmosphere. The expansive outdoor area is adorned with native plants, climbing trees, and cherished vegetable gardens, fostering a deep connection with nature. Children are encouraged to freely explore and engage with the natural world in all weather conditions. As a Silver Enviroschool, Kidsfirst Karoro is committed to promoting sustainability and empowering children to make a positive impact on their environment. Through a place-based program, children learn about sustainable practices and develop their problem-solving skills through hands-on experiences, including growing vegetables, preparing healthy food, caring for resident chickens, and actively participating in waste minimization through recycling and upcycling.
