Our Vision is to be a centre that provides high quality early childhood education, engaging with children, whānau and the wider community.
Operating since the late 1950s, Rutherford Street Kindergarten provides high-quality early childhood education and care for children living in Nelson city and surrounding suburbs.
We are a small, welcoming, community-minded centre with a maximum of 30 children enrolled at any one time.
Our centre manager and the team of qualified teachers are committed to high quality relationships that are child-centred. Our centre is community-based and is governed by a dedicated board made up of parents and community members.
