At Beststart West Melton, we believe in learning through nature and wide open spaces!
BestStart West Melton (previously known as The Cats Pyjamas West Melton) is located within the Preston Downs subdivision and is well known within our community.
Our facility has been purpose-built with the children in mind, and equipped to comply with ‘best practice’ guidelines. Comprised of four rooms, BestStart West Melton offers separate children’s areas to cater for infants, toddlers and young children.
All areas for the children are open concept, leading out to adventurous playgrounds. Our facilities are bright, open and spacious, with a wide range of carefully selected developmentally appropriate equipment and resources.

Our Spaces
At BestStart West Melton, we believe working with children in age groupings is most conducive to learning. The unique structure of our complimentary Explorers, Adventurers, Inventors and Navigators rooms ensure learning opportunities are maximised. Our learning programmes are designed to meet the needs of every child at each stage of their development, and to actively support and encourage robust learning dispositions.
Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed, well resourced, inviting, engaging and spacious learning environments. They provide tamariki room to explore, create and engage in a range of activities and experiences.
