Reggio Bambini is a purpose-built privately-owned preschool and infant centre providing childcare for up to 35 children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Our programme is based on the New Zealand “Te Whariki early childhood curriculum” and is inspired by the Italian “Reggio Emilia practices in early childhood education”; two methods of learning which value each child’s individuality.
A multi-sensory approach is used in order to meet the varying learning styles and developmental needs of each child. Children will engage with and express themselves through a variety of mediums including books, art, painting, clay, collage, music, dance, storytelling, blocks, natural materials and recycled materials, science experiments and exercise. It is the child’s interests, ideas, questions, and experiences that provide the inspiration for classroom projects.
Children will participate in early literacy, numeracy and science classes in preparation for Primary School in conjunction with our preschool programme. Children will also participate in physical development by way of an introduction to sports.
Our preschool and infant centre provides a balance between creative experiences, free play, and structured learning with the emphasis on having fun.
We aim to build strong partnerships between families, children, and school in order to provide each child a positive, happy and nurturing experience.
