Beginnings Early Learning Centre is a purpose-built care and education facility, catering for children 3mths-6 years. The centre is licensed for 38 children, with excellent teacher/children ratio’s. There is a separate Nursery room which caters to a maximum of 10 children under 2 years, in a calm and nurturing environment.
Located on beautiful Waiheke Island, the centre was established in 2005 and is privately owned by Andrew and Robyn Martin, who have 20 successful years experience in the Early Childhood Sector.

At Beginnings we believe the journey of lifelong learning begins at home and we feel very privileged to be part of each child’s journey. Here at Beginnings we strive to embrace a whanaungatanga approach that encompasses each individual, whānau and the community. The professional team of teachers bring diversity in life experience and opportunities to the centre. We believe that children learn holistically through play in a loving, caring environment where they are encouraged to make their own choices to experiment and explore. Teachers value the importance of being responsive to children’s strengths and interests.
