Little Peppertree is a small, homely and welcoming Preschool licensed for 25 children from two to five years. It is unique with strong relationships between staff, whanau and children. Our natural outdoor environment includes real grass, a path for scooters and bikes, sandpit, lots of equipment to climb and explore and a covered verandah so that we can still get outside on rainy days.
We are proud to be an enviroschool and have vege and fruit gardens, hens and worms. We believe in being respectful of each other, our toys and the environment.

We have only 25 children from 2-5 years in our beautiful character Preschool. A home away from home!

With great ratios our experienced and qualified kaiako can provide the best edcuation and care for your child in a happy, secure environment
- Regular excursions into the community
We love visiting our community as part of our curriculum. We also enjoy bus excursions to further away places such as the beach with our sister preschool Peppertree.
- Our environment
We are proud to be part of the Enviroschools Programme and believe in respecting Aotearoa and our environment as well as our resources and each other. We have our bronze award and are working towards silver.
- Our playground and resources
At little Peppertree we have a natural playground with real grass, fruit trees and vege gardens. We love collecting the eggs and looking after our hens and worm farm.
- Transition to School
At Little Peppertree we work to ensure your child's transition to school is as smooth as possible by fostering independence, and encouraging children to take responsibility for themselves and their belongings.
In the mornings the older children's mini group focuses on ensuring the children are ready for school. We work on the five key concepts of maths, literacy, self help skills, social skills and children's choice. We also regularly visit schools with older children.
- Reasonable fees
Our fees are reasonable with no charge for statutory holidays. We offer 20 hours free ECE with no mandatory extra hours or extra charges. Our 9-3 session is completely free for children 3-5 years. WINZ and Family Boost is also available.
