Infants

We understand that infants are totally dependent on others; therefore we provide a predictable, secure and calm environment for their growth and development.

We aim to provide a peaceful environment for the child that is physically safe, cognitively challenging and emotionally nurturing. it is designed to accommodate the child’s changing developmental needs and interests in which we strive to provide a balance of activities that help children to progress in social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Children are offered to explore and interact with other children or on their own.

Our aspirations for our children are for them to grow up as competent and confident learners, communicators, healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.

We provide open communication between parents and caregivers and we feel we have strong reciprocal relationships where parents feel confident leaving their child in our care.

Infants and Toddlers are exposed to different resources and play spaces, this allows them to explore inside and outside and heighten their sense of awareness of the environment. Children are given opportunities foe quiet time, sensory experiences, including fresh air and also time to watch or join in.

Children in our care are made to feel safe and secure which also enables them to make independent choices.

Two to Five Year Olds

Tindalls Garden over twos caters for children from age 2 to 5 years old. We provide a caring environment that presents challenges & opportunities for independent exploration.

Children develop by having warm, close relationships with teachers. The interactions, enthusiasm for the child’s activities and approval by the teacher enhance the child’s/children’s development. Having quality resources and a developed curriculum gives children opportunities to explore, engage and become lifelong learners.

Children are able to have access to resources such as family play, paint, books which enables them to express themselves which also encourages numeracy and literacy. Mat times, where children are reads stories and songs, enables children to exchange ideas and extend their imagination which encourages exploration.

Our outdoor environment is aesthetic to the eye, it includes natural resources to create curiosity and is open ended for exploration. We have a rock climbing wall and balancing equipment to challenge the children to explore using their bodies.

Our vision is for children to have a strong sense of belief in themselves and to be supported in their aspirations and dreams as individuals. we place high value on children having the freedom to explore, allowing them the time they need to express themselves, to laugh, to have fun and for all children to be inquisitive, competent and open-minded in their learning journey.

We value parental input and contribution. Relationships are a prominent part of our room. We display open, honest, professional and friendly communication with our children, their families and each other. We encourage all children to develop into independent, confident learners, while being supported and extended from a team of dedicated educators who are committed to high quality care and education.
