The Vines Early Learning Centre - A Great Place to Grow.
The Vines Early Learning is owned and operated by a local family who have lived, worked and raised their whānau throughout their entire lives, in the West Auckland community. This strong emphasis on family and community focus, along with our knowledge of and experience in the local community shines through in all that we do at The Vines.
It was this knowledge and understanding of our culturally rich community which led us to draw on the history of the area which was rich in grape vines, orchards and market gardens in the early 1900s when naming our centre The Vines Early Learning.
A collaborative approach to learning with whānau is extremely important to us, allowing us to develop deep and strong connections with tamariki and their whānau to enable us all to support and further develop the learning journey of each individual child and the aspirations of their whānau.
We are committed to providing an enriching and challenging learning environment that will further develop and support the holistic growth of each child through empowerment of their learning, developing respectful and nurturing relationships and encouraging them to express themselves, experiment and explore through play. Our Kaiako believe all tamariki are diverse and unique, just as we believe the same of our kaiako. We value each of our team members and focus on developing a positive team culture to support them in building relationships to inspire and encourage each child to learn and discover.
The Vines Early Learning, as a team are committed to honouring and celebrating the unique bicultural heritage of Aotearoa, New Zealand. Incorporating local tangata whenua, te Reo, tikanga and te Ao Māori into our daily practice and curriculum supports our place in honouring our Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership and ensuring all tamariki are encouraged to celebrate our heritage, history and their place in it. We share and honour our local curriculum and history with tamariki so as to develop a connection with our natural environment and the gifts from Papatūānuku.
