We offer an all-day Montessori Curriculum at Grey Lynn Montessori and our routines start with children being welcomed into our childcare centre and being able to freely choose from various curriculum areas. All our materials are displayed on low shelves that are easily accessible for children, empowering them to follow their innate interests. Children can engage in activities independently, 1-1 with childcare teachers, with a peer or in small groups within an uninterrupted block of time. This supports and strengthens their ability to concentrate, make their own discoveries and master skills at their own pace.
We offer an introduction to Montessori for children aged 2 to 3 years, allowing children to learn the principles of Montessori and be well prepared for engaging in our Montessori curriculum and a fully equipped Montessori room for children aged 3 to 6 years. We also offer a wide variety of extra-curricular preschool activities such as baking, science, yoga, music and movement, dance, drama, poetry, ball games, gardening, and visual arts and crafts, both 1-1 and in small groups.
