We are a small centre with a team of dedicated Kaiako focused on building meaningful relationships with tamariki and whānau. We have a beautiful, expansive, purposefully designed space both indoors and out, with plenty of room for tamariki to explore, discover and engage in meaningful play experiences.
We are connected to and part of a community services hub and Salvation Army church, offering wrap-around support services for families. At our centres we place a strong emphasis on allowing children to learn through play. We provide individualised learning programmes based on each child’s interests, using a varied range of opportunities and experiences.
Te Whāriki, the Ministry of Education’s early childhood curriculum is woven throughout our programme. This emphasises the learning partnership between teachers, parents and families. Our centres receive regular positive reviews from the Education Review Office (ERO).
It is important to us that your children receive exceptional care and education. We value our trusted relationships with each child and family and want ‘our place’ to become ‘your place’.
Our centre is licensed for 45 tamariki from birth to 5+ years with two beautiful rooms, thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of each age and stage of development. Kōwhai is for tamariki under the age of two and Kauri is for tamariki over two years.
We enrol up to a maximum of 10 children under the age of two and up to a maximum of 35 children over two, with exceptional teacher to child ratios and a key caregiving approach based on principles of attachment, for all tamariki.
Open hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We offer full-day sessions and a shorter "mini day" of 6.5hrs.
