Takapuna Kids Early Childhood Centre

Takapuna Kids has been owned and operated for the last 10 years by a New Zealand early childhood family, who knows how to provide quality early childhood education. The centre is a converted villa which provides a homely environment with a designated area for under 2 year old children. Our large outdoor playground is a real bonus in central Takapuna and is well-used and enjoyed by our children. 

At Takapuna Kids Early Childhood Centre we provide young children and their families with a safe, nurturing and educational environment, where relationships with children, parents and the community are fostered. Our professional team is committed to a positive teaching approach that values each child as an individual. We believe that children learn best through play and their interests and our programme is based on Te Whaariki, the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum.

Environtmental Focus

We believe that older children learn and develop in an early childhood environment where the teacher has a respectful image of children as being competent and capable young people. The teachers role is to support the learning process which allows children to explore, question, reflect and problem solve.
