Our Philosophy Our teaching team are loving and dedicated to assist Tamariki to grow to be confident and socially competent members of the community; who engage politely, honestly and with passion. Our blossoming environment provides a safe haven for our Tamariki, a home away from home. These are attainable by valuing parent/teacher partnership and to provide an open door policy where parents/caregivers/whanau are encouraged and welcomed to converse their aspirations for their children and prospects from the Centre. We believe that working alongside each other will help our Tamariki achieve their very best potential.
Our teachers strongly believe that teaching is from the heart and all children are cared for in a safe, secure, inspiring and stimulating atmosphere. Each child comes with their own individual identity, strengths, interests, values and beliefs which makes them unique. With this in mind, we aim to develop children’s creativity and self-confidence through providing motivating and developmentally appropriate opportunities that will encourage curiosity and empower them to take leadership for their own educational journey.
At Tamariki Garden Early Learning Centre, we develop and maintain opportunities for professional and personal developments for our teachers. We believe that quality development and training is best achieved through a team approach to achieve common goals and objectives which is underpinned by the principles, strands and goals laid out in Te Whariki in our Early Childhood Curriculum. We embrace the Te Tiriti O Waitangi practises and principles-partnership.
