Welcome to Active Explorers Papakura, a recently opened, beautifully designed early childhood centre in the heart of Papakura. Our philosophy

We provide high quality early childhood care and education for young children and a supportive environment for parents and whānau. We achieve this by providing superior facilities, quality educational equipment and programmes and well-qualified and caring teaching staff.

We believe that children learn and develop in an early childhood environment where they are happy and secure. The physical environment and the educational programme needs to be of the highest quality and this is essential for the wellbeing of children, whānau and teachers. Our rooms

Active Explorers Papakura is divided into four main rooms and admissions and transitions in each of the rooms are based on each child’s stage of development as opposed to age. Each room has its own playground which enables us to provide children with outdoor experiences as suited to their stage. We see children as capable individuals and have designed an environment that supports their ability to achieve the goals they set for themselves. Developing a strong secure base from which to explore is key to the success of our centre.
