Little Steps Montessori Preschool

Little Steps Montessori Preschool is located at 29-31 Omega Street, Albany, Auckland. The preschool is licensed to occupy a portion of the Church in Auckland's North Shore Campus in Albany. It is licensed for up to 30 children from the ages of 2 years 10 months to 6 years. This preschool is owned by a charitable trust for the benefit of families in the community. The preschool area has an open-plan structure for easy supervision of the children, as well as a large outdoor play area.

Our philosophy

At Little Steps Montessori Preschool, we offer a developmentally appropriate, early childhood education programme that meets the needs of the “whole child” and builds a safe environment where exploration, play and discovery are promoted.  The curriculum respects both the age and the individual needs of each child.

We provide a safe, healthy learning environment that will advance your child’s physical and intellectual competence, communication and creativity. Social and emotional development is encouraged to nurture self-esteem, social responsibility and respect for others. We treasure the relationships we can foster with each of our families and appreciate the diversity of different cultures and their input into our centre.

We believe that children learn best in a secure, caring, and loving environment which is respectful and affirming and that stimulates and allows for active exploration, discoveries and learning.
