About Kaitiaki (Under 3s)
The word Kaitiaki means ‘guardian’ in Te Reo Māori. Here at Christopher & Robin Early Childhood Centre we see this as both the kaiako and children being the guardians of each other, our environment and the living world around us.
Our Kaitiaki room is a calm and nurturing purpose-built space that caters for tamariki from 3 months to 3 years. Our room encourages and inspires children’s curiosity and exploration at their own pace.
We have a highly qualified team with great teacher to child ratios. Each child has a key teacher that is responsible for meeting the key care need of their own small group of tamariki.
We have a dedicated warm and peaceful space for tamariki to sleep and a safe, stimulating space for our under 1s.
About Te Puawai (Over 3s)
The word Te Puawai means ‘the blossoming’ in Te Reo Māori.
Here at Christopher & Robin Early Childhood Centre, we see this as the children blossoming into confident, capable and independent learners and discoverers as they continue to learn and grow.
The Te Puawai room and outdoor area have been purpose built to ignite the imaginations and allowing our three to six year old tamariki to freely play and explore.
We have a highly qualified team with great teacher to child ratios. Each child has a key teacher that is responsible for meeting the key care need of their own small group of tamariki.
