A little about us

  • We aim to be the community’s most trusted provider of high quality early childhood care and education.
  • We strive to foster children’s natural curiosity within a caring, inclusive early childhood setting.

Our Programme

Our Programme is ever changing and stems from your child’s interests, your goals for him/her, our

teachers knowledge of child development, and from community events.

Children learn as they play so our day is organised to allow your child to choose activities from the many

different play opportunities available, to develop their social skills with focused activities based on our

programme to expand their interest’s knowledge and skills.

We meet before lunchtimes in a group to share stories and songs or to share ideas for a programme topic.

This is an opportunity for our children to share news, reflect on their day, and for teachers to reward

positive behaviours through our appreciation tree leaves and flowers.

Meal times are a time to sit, eat and share great conversations together. We enjoy a rolling morning tea

where the children choose to come to the table to eat when they are ready. The children eat from their

lunch box that parents have prepared and brought along. We sing one of several thank you songs we learn,

before we eat, and at the end of mealtimes children learn to ask if they may please leave the table as part

of our virtues and manners focus.

We are lucky to have a large outdoor space and we make the most of it, encouraging children to run, jump,

play and develop their physical abilities as well as their minds. We work alongside the children to care for

centre animals, gardens, the worm farm and to tend the compost pile. We believe it is important that our

children learn about the cycles of reusing and recycling where possible, and they reap the rewards of their

labours by being able to enjoy fruits and vegetables from our trees and gardens.

Our children learn about manners and virtues throughout their time with us. We encourage kindness,

thoughtfulness, honesty, caring, love, courage, confidence and positive self image to help our children

grow into being positive members of our wider community.
