Children deserve places of play and learning which invoke a sense of wonder, curiosity, connection and discovery, through exploration and finding their creative flow. At Ohope Beach Montessori Preschool we offer this and more, located on half an acre of beautiful landscape gardens.
The wellbeing of your child/children is our paramount objective. At Ohope Beach Montessori Preschool we believe children learn and develop in an environment where they are happy, secure and stimulated by a wide range of educational activities. We believe children need to have the opportunity to explore freely in a large natural setting, where they can run, climb and take risks. Learning about nature through actively experiencing it, while incorporating Te Ao Maori. All to the sound of bird song under large trees far away from the busy roads.
We value play and are determined to create a fun, Montessori inspired space where children can grow through positive connections with people and nature. We incorporate virtues into our daily practise by acknowledging, guiding and role modelling to support character development by creating a positive and empowering environment in which children can learn and grow.
The philosophy of the preschool programme embraces the concept of developing the whole child. It reflects an understanding that children learn through active involvement and play and that children represent their knowledge in a variety of ways.
