Cherry Grove has been specifically designed to cater for the needs of Hawke's Bay children from 0 – 6 years of age. Our age and stage specific rooms, and large teaching staff, recognise the importance of providing appropriate group sizes to allow for more stimulating, responsive, and supportive interactions for infants and young children.

- Family Centre
Family Centre Playgroup where a parent stays with their child or infant. Cherry Grove @ 101 Family Centre is open Monday to Friday with two sessions a day 9.00am-12.00pm and 12.00pm – 3.00pm. The Family Centre is a free service led by teachers who look after your wellbeing with bottomless lattes or hot chocolate and a sweet treat. If you attend the Family Centre regularly you will receive 10% discount in the nursery. The environment is set up with learning provocations, music, and storytelling sessions and the playground is fully fenced with a good outdoor space. Attached is the weekly schedule. The best thing of all is the teachers clean up. A lovely way to meet other parents.The outside space is unique in Hawke's Bay – it's wonderous! It is specifically designed so that children have the opportunity to run, kick balls, build forts, play in sand, let their imagination run wild, or just simply sit and enjoy watching the exploration of others.
Our NZ curriculum is called “Te Whāriki” children learn through play with teachers providing an educational plan for each child with beautiful learning stories and photos to capture milestones, interests, and progression. Each child will have their own portfolio and stories are posted on Story Park, a centre online forum for our families where you can invite other family members in NZ or the world to be part of your child’s learning journey.We strive to provide the parents with the best child care services in Havelock North.
