Here at Atawhai Kids, we pride ourselves on providing high quality care and education for children aged from 3 months of age until they start school.
Our program is based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community for children; through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment based on the interests of the children through a self-guided curriculum. Core to our philosophy is the provision of an environment that is rich in children's learning opportunities. Not only are we proud of our challenging, yet natural physical environment; but also the interactional environment (social interactions within the environment), and the temporal environment (routines/time) we strive to provide.
Atawhai Kids Preschool is very proud of the culturally diverse range of families we engage with and provide service to. We are fully committed to providing a learning environment rich in Maori language (te Reo) and practices (tikanga); in addition to the many other cultures represented in our local community. Please ensure your communicate any special cultural practices you value and would like to see embraced by the centre.
