Montessori Educare is the original Montessori childcare and education centre in Palmerston North with over 30 years history in our current location.
Our dedicated and experienced teaching team are 100% Early Childhood and Montessori qualified, with consistent staff rostered daily. Many of our team members have been providing care and education for our families, with us for the past 10+ years.
Joining our Montessori family offer’s your child an opportunity to build friendships and gain important life skills like independence and responsibility. Children at Montessori Educare make discoveries, cultivate concentration, motivation, self-disciple, a love of learning and gain a solid foundation required for starting primary school.
We recognise children are curious about everything and need to explore and discover. Our Montessori learning environment is specially prepared and designed to encourage each child to move, touch and manipulate, and the freedom to work independently based on their own initiatives with gentle and respectful guidance from the teaching team. Our prepared environment contains specially designed hands-on materials that invite children to engage in learning activities of their own choice for as long as they like.
You can also expect our Montessori environment to be calm, peaceful, and quiet. Children are engaged in what they are doing either independently or in small groups. We have high expectations regarding child behaviour and children learn to treat their peers and environment respectfully - as they would at home.
